Well, the major Social Media mediums/tools used by Taco Bell are:

Taco Bell has 550.000 fans in Facebook (Likes and Talking about) and
a big photo tab at their front page. Taco Bells Facebook page is not very
popular, because besides videos, photos, and discussion tabs there is not a lot
going on. It is only used to assist customers, when they address problems, so
all in all the company seems to be doing a descent job.
Regarding
to twitter, Taco Bell is spinning off local Twitter accounts and targeting those specific areas. The problem,
however, is that they only have around 100 followers which is not much.
However
Taco Bell has a van that is going around the country handing out free tacos.
Within that, they have integrated clear calls to actions with the Van and
encourage folks to follow them on Twitter.

is not a lot of activity going on with it. And in comparison to the point that
YouTube is a very cost effective way of getting branded impressions it does not

The Implications of having a high number of likes regarding to Taco Bell is that a lot of customer have positive thoughts about Taco Bell. This important for Taco Bell, because this polish their image and make them popular. It is not sure, if the customer will buy Taco Bell´s products, but it could be.
Taco Bell´s strongest online presence is Facebook, because there are 8 Million Followers, in opposite to Taco Bell´s weakest tool, which is Youtube.
To improve the online presence of TacoBell in Youtube, there could be more videos, more interesting and pimped videos, make it more attractive and maybe create links from Taco Bell´s Facebook page to Taco Bell´s Youtube Videos.
A big problem within the attendance of Taco Bell is that it is often times not as rapidly embraced by other cultures as some of the other fast-food restaurants ( as Mc Donald´s and KFC). But Social Media can improve their acceptance by other cultures maybe by making more commercial in Social Media Tools and use them, because Social Media is a global tool, reaching lots of people all over the world in only few seconds.
